Lightweight, Handheld Satellite Signal Simulator
A lightweight, handheld SGX GPS satellite generator, our CAST-SGX offers dynamic and repeatable simulated GPS RF signals, allowing testing in the lab or in the field possible. The simulator is suitable for a range of GPS applications, including for government and military purposes.
In addition, it is specifically developed for use in our larger military products.
CAST-XGen Basic and CAST-XGen Plus Software
This satellite signal simulator also comes with the CAST-XGen Basic software, which allows testers to input the start time, date, position, and the almanac used in a test scenario. It allows simulations based on four maneuver trajectory sets, which include a circle, a figure eight, racetrack, and stationary.
The CAST XGen Basic software can be installed on a separate computer (with a Windows® operating system). The scenarios can be migrated to the SGX easily – via USB or an SD card, after pre-programming them on the computer.
We also offer the CAST-XGen Plus software, which works well with the CAST-SGX. Unlike the basic software, it allows for advanced, customized scenarios. It also allows full control over atmospheric effects, ephemeris, almanac, and all satellite error sources.
With the advanced software, all testers need to do is to select from a range of vehicle types – terrestrial, aquatic, airborne, or space-based – and reproduce dynamic or static motion, as well as use antenna gain patterns and vehicle silhouettes (optional). A trajectory can also be generated by inputting a total mission profile based on waypoint navigation, native maneuvers, or importing Google Maps-generate d data.
New scenarios can be incorporated into the simulator using SD card or USB.
