IMU MODELING AND SIMULATION
Provide Dynamic INS and GNSS Signals
CAST Navigation’s INS systems provide high rate inertial data with exceptional fidelity to support the integration and testing of today’s complex EGI and GNSS/INS navigation systems. The CAST system is designed for optimal performance when the inertial sensor and GNSS receiver are either loosely, tightly or ultra-tightly coupled, or when an INS aiding source can be utilized by any other type of device.
The INS simulation systems provide dynamic INS and GNSS signals necessary to properly stimulate modern integrated navigation systems. CAST global clients include military, industrial, and commercial laboratories, providing precise dynamic stimulus for the development, integration and testing of current navigation systems and platforms. And CAST continues to play a critical role for clients in the research and design of emerging technologies.
CAST Navigation’s INS systems include a comprehensive and intuitive graphical interface. This allows the customization of IMU sensor block output performance characteristics and drift rates specific to navigation unit or performance modeling parameters. CAST systems provide a wide variety of selectable vehicle types- airborne, terrestrial, aquatic (including the sea-state), and space-based orbital vehicles. The systems and be operated in “Pre-Generated” or “RealTime” 6-DOF input motion generation modes, and can be used as a stand-alone, or integrated into a “suite” of capabilities.

Inertial System Features
Systems are designed to provide precise dynamic signals for stimulation of modernized EGI and GNSS/INS devices in a laboratory environment
Operates as a stand-alone system or can be integrated into a laboratory environment to provide stimulus, based on 6-DOF trajectory data received
Provides an accurate synchronized simulation of navigation signals to loosely, tightly, and ultra-tightly coupled signals to stimulate EGI and GNSS/INS systems
Customizable and expandable solutions allows configuration of your GNSS/INS system to meet current and future requirements
Add Additional Inertial Outputs or Jamming Capabilities
For 40 years, CAST has collaborated with many different IMU manufacturers in the development and refinement of laboratory test interfaces. CAST INS interfaces support most types of INS protocols and data rates, and will customize an INS interface to meet specific requirements and testing needs.
The CAST INS modular design approach allows the technology to be combined with any CAST GNSS simulator and capability. These comprehensive and flexible systems can be configured to meet any changing or growing INS stimulation needs. Additional Inertial outputs, RF outputs and Jamming capabilities can be easily added to the CAST system. Each additional output can be configured to provide identical, similar or different IMU performance conditions, vehicle types, trajectories and navigation signals.
All of CAST Navigation’s INS simulators can be modified to accept the addition of a variety of options, including additional Signal, Terrain Obscuration, and Signal Interference capabilities. Multiple CAST systems can be synchronized for a more robust and flexible simulation environment, to meet any specific or challenging application.
